The Tesseract of Subjectivity 🌀
Most models of the psyche are too flat.
They treat people like static types, trait bundles, diagnostic boxes. But that misses the real thing. A psyche is not just a state. It is an orientation. It is a way of moving through time, language, sensation, law, and social reality.
This model maps the psyche as a tesseract — a 4D structure organized by two forces:
- the Central Real Void
- the Symbolic Social Hub
Each structure takes up a different position inside that space. Each has its own route, its own timing, its own trap.
Neurotic: the social storefront 🪞
The neurotic lives on the outer surface.
This is the world of mirrors, shared language, law, belonging, and future goals. Reality is experienced through the gaze of the Other. The self must stay coherent, legible, acceptable. Time moves in sequence: A → B → C → D
This is historical subjectivity: the shared story of what happened, what it meant, and what comes next.
That structure gives order. It also creates captivity. The neurotic gets pinned to consensus reality, to image, to recognition, to the pressure of being someone in the eyes of others. The future pulls hard here — hope, fear, planning, status, shame.
The neurotic does not just live in reality.
They live in a socially maintained version of reality.
Autistic: the Möbius zig-zag 🌈
The autistic subject does not move smoothly along the shared outer path.
They move in a zig-zag between raw sensation and constructed pattern, between surface and depth, between overload and structure. Where others inherit social coordinates automatically, the autistic often has to manually map them.
That is why autistic time can look slow.
Not because nothing is happening. Because too much is happening. Too many coordinates. Too much feedback. Too much sensory and pre-verbal material being processed at once. While the group walks the road, the autistic person may still be building the map.
But that slowness can flip.
Once the pattern locks in, the same person who looked delayed may suddenly skip steps entirely. They no longer need to follow A → B → C → D in order. They can jump ahead because they have grasped the structure underneath the sequence.
What looked like lag becomes shortcut.
What looked like deficit becomes pattern-speed.
Schizoid / perverse: the inner citadel 🏰
The schizoid or perverse structure occupies the inner chamber.
This is the citadel: distance, control, staging, protection behind glass. Instead of moving openly through shared reality, this subject treats the social field like a board of positions, roles, bait, and leverage.
Time here is not real development. It is looped repetition.
The cast changes.
The script does not.
This is the “next now”: staged urgency, managed seduction, moral shell games, repeated disavowal. The point is not truth or contact. The point is control, distance, and defense against engulfment.
The perverse subject does not simply leave the social world.
They work its edges.
Psychotic: the reality rip 💥
The psychotic structure is where the frame tears.
The anchor to shared symbolic reality fails, and the subject is no longer buffered by stable mediation. Past, future, imagination, terror, and certainty can all break directly into the present.
Time becomes Immediate Now.
The past does not stay past.
It floods the present.
The future does not stay future.
It arrives as certainty or dread.
Imagination does not stay imagination.
It enters shared space as lived fact.
This is why psychotic experience can feel so disorganizing — not only to the person, but to everyone around them. Chronology breaks. The field gets flooded. The structure of shared reality is pierced from within.
The psychotic subject does not simply think differently.
They live at the point where reality itself can rip.
The point 🔥
These are not just personality styles. They are different navigation stances inside psychic space.
- Neurotic: follows the shared route
- Autistic: maps the terrain manually
- Schizoid/Perverse: manipulates from the citadel
- Psychotic: ruptures the frame with Immediate Now
That is why people do not just differ in content. They differ in orientation.
Some are held by mirrors.
Some are buried in mapping.
Some are defended by distance.
Some are flooded by collapse.
The psyche is not a box.
It is a topology.
And once you see that, flat explanations start to look cheap.
