I just watched the superego meetup. Is the false self the ego or superego, or all of it, and is it protecting the id (or has subsumed it). If the supply is fueling the false self, is it feeding the ego/ filter (only takes in information that aligns with grandiosity, victimhood etc) or the moral framework (false self is superior and knows all).

SV would say the answer is on the website, look it up and stop wasting my time. Is it on here somewhere?

I'm not sure how I framed it in this video, but generally the false self, fawn self, social mask, etc. is super-ego territory...
Though often in spiritual circles, people call an inflated ego, and inner critic, as ego... but usually they're talking about a toxic super-ego....

A healthy ego, is a sign of adult maturity.. and having a reality tester... and a part that can regulate the needs of superego & id...

I think this goes into how to address the unmet needs of the superego, then there's more room and energy to develop an healthy ego, and also integrate id impulses..
