This is a simple but very tricky sell to demystify Trauma.
Simply put, there’s 2 elements, precisely pointed out at the end of this clip, which I think most people missed.

I just don’t want to deal with this that you’re presenting me with (I reject your story)
and quite frankly I don’t know how to (respond properly)
- you’re disturbing me
- you’re making me feel incompetent
Fuck you! (Judgment, Disgust, Exile you)
Disturbs one’s map of reality = too much chaos = lack of predictability
Incompetent = lack of control = awareness of lacking skill = coping mechanisms fail
2 parts maps onto visual from Jan 9, 2021 Trust as Sharing power meeting, of which this visual fell flat.

2 Elements of trust is good enough predictability, and good enough sense of control.
Trauma is opposite of trust, too much unpredictability, and too much inability to control.
My morning scribbles for future goal of Demystifying Trauma
Various framings of 2 components:

The way out:

2 components also have a hidden 3rd component of losing language, failure to repair story, social exile.
- you’re disturbing me [Autonomy fail]
- you’re making me feel incompetent [Competence/Agency fail]
- Fuck you! (Judgment, Disgust, Exile you) [Relatedness fail]
They can be linked to Self Determination Theory’s 3 basic psychological needs, and also my framing tweak as the three domains of self-mastery.
