From earlier today:
Avoiding the Woke Hellscape of Totalitarianism
1h25m
Listened to this in various sections today, and also while doing some other work. But from what I recall it’s more of a very very strong argument, dire warning, and a call to arms against woke culture using extreme communism tactics…
Felt somewhat similar to Jordan Peterson’s fixation with evils of communism and post modernism, etc.. but Grannon here is a bit more fresh and specific with references to 1984 and other historical and movie metaphors…
While I agree with a lot of the assessments of current culture and society. That these movements are quite damaging and dangerous… The call to arms, I’m skeptical of how that’s gonna happen.
Woke culture movement has much larger numbers, more established, and social media platform gives them the edge.. And individually they’re sorta ideologically possessed… so educating them of the dangers or what not, doesn’t work, or is really really really hard.. they’re caught up in the group think, and the ideology gives them a sense of purpose, meaning, and it distracts them from their own pitiful life, emotional baggage, and depressing paths for meaningful future.
And.. I sorta think that this might be just part of the cold war continued… the west claimed victory with the fall of the soviet union, but that’s a sham. The ideologies of communism along with the last stages of capitalism, are leading us to this weird academia led language distortion type of situation…
Human aggression used to be played out in bloody physical wars, post ww2 and with nuclear weapons that’s sorta off the table, so now aggression is played out economically and intellectually/psychically or maybe it’s all just amplified spiritual warfare?
